Nose - like a fruit parfait with meringue topping. Ripe strawberry and cherry with a creamy yogurt and granola. WTF? The sugar - check. That braised whipped topping is in there. That might be a first time for me. This is nuts. There is a dark syrupy note that I could only describe as a blackberry preserve maybe? There is so much here to get into - I can't wait to hear what you guys get in this.
Palate - this palate hits so hard it almost scrambles your taste buds. It's very tight but not constricted. That berry preserve note is strong. But it mixes insanely well with a melted buttery note and powdered sugar. Maybe a little bit of a melted brown sugar also. Strawberry is also popping in and out as the glass empties. There is just a wink of that rickhouse funk that only Turkey brings. It's very subtle but only because I think the other notes are so complimentary.
Finish - Here is where the parfait notes finally subside enough to let the char and cardboard notes appear. They never get to fully take over as a strawberry jam note never fully lets go entirely. I'm sorry guys - it's gonna be a tough decision month. This is a very smashable bottle. Whether with a cigar or on ice or neat in a Glen; this is a banger.
