Nose: Dark maple syrup, apricot jam, and strawberry ice cream up front, followed by smoked cinnamon stick. There’s the slightest hint of green pepper, giving it a little savory edge. It reminds me somewhat of a cigar blend, but this leans much sweeter and spicier than the wine-finished profile.
Palate: Coating and balanced, with vanilla cream and caramel sweetness up front before the masala chai spice gradually ramps up.
Finish: Cinnamon and clove simmer at first, then escalate into a high-rye heat that creates a long-lasting linger. Molasses and strawberry bubblegum surround the spice, with a pop of fig toward the end.
